The National Action Party (PAN) in Mexico City announced its intention to take a key position in the 2027 elections, focusing on problems of opportunity before choosing candidates, which require a serious solution. The leader of the local party, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, noted that the collective is concerned about the state of affairs with other political parties, with whom it is necessary to resolve pressing issues of the city. "The city cannot continue to allocate eight out of every ten pesos to current spending and only two to infrastructure," said the politician, pointing out the need to redistribute budgetary spending towards basic services.

Among the main priorities — access to water, housing and mobility. "If we don't invest in water, housing and mobility, Mexico City will continue to deteriorate," said Claudia Sheinbaum, noting that on the one hand, the basic community services are underfunded, and on the other, the urban areas do not keep up with the solution of problems without government intervention and low-quality public transport. The politician also pointed to the need for transparent results in the plane of security: "We cannot continue to be a hostage of a Government that does not guarantee security".

For the key issues — security, infrastructure, water supply, housing construction, and transport systems — the party will launch a series of public forums, where the opinions of citizens and experts will be collected. The results, as they emerge in the PAN, will not only be oppositional, but also constructive: "We want the city to do better," said Gutiérrez Ruiz. She also called for a collective approach: "The country and the city require us to act with political maturity and intelligence".

The party acknowledges the internal problems associated with the election of leaders in municipal circles. Andres Atayde, coordinator of PAN in the Senate, said that in the regions, they manage its parties, ensuring the presence of only those who are in the final part of the government. "We cannot continue with terrible infrastructure problems and with potholes around the corner," said the politician, pointing to a new approach to leadership in the absence of government intervention.

PAN supports the national initiative by updating the political course, led by the federal leader of the party, Jorge Romero. The leaders of the party express not only an oppositional, but also a constructive position, guaranteeing the fulfillment of obligations before the electors.
